Scope of the ConferenceOn behalf of the organizers, Elsevier and Vision Research, welcome to the twelfth annual pre-ARVO conference entitled, “Mechanisms of Macular Degeneration.” The meeting will review the latest developments in the genetics of AMD, and focus on animal models that closely mimic early or late onset human macular diseases. Major areas to be covered will be mechanisms that lead to macular dystrophies, novel animal models of macular degeneration, and upcoming strategies in pharmacological and gene-based therapies in animal models. |
